"not just a local dance school"

"a serious training pupils actually enjoy"

The Swansea Ballet School, (SBS), was founded 50 years ago by AISTD dance teacher Sheila Cunliffe.

Swansea Ballet classes, Jazz Dance, Contemporary Dance, Modern, Tap, Choir and Musical Theatre training are all offered as part of our school curriculum.

Swansea Ballet school remains a family run school, all of whom are very involved and passionate about the performing arts.  Our well established and highly regarded school continues to provide an excellent level of training for those seeking dance classes in the South Wales area.

Our classes are suitable for those looking to dance as an enjoyable hobby as well as those students wishing to pursue a career in dance.

Alongside all of our class genres, all pupils at the Swansea Ballet School are required to attend a minimum of one Ballet class per week.  This provides the core, discipline and most importantly, the technique to execute other dance styles with precision.

Having this policy has allowed so many of our students to gain career successes, This together with our dance examination results clearly demonstrate that what we deliver is not only enjoyable, but also creates 'real dancers'.

A busy timetable of classes is available for pupils aged 3 - Adult, with opportunities for students to take part in our annual theatre performance.

If you are looking for a school that treats you/your child's dance training with professionalism, then SBS is the school for you!

Our teachers and staff are all very friendly and here to help. The atmosphere within our school is really quite special and is often referred to as the "Swansea Ballet School Experience!".
