Musical theatre classes often appeal to fun loving, stage struck extrovert students with a passion for being animated, centre stage and a love for all things show biz!

Musical theatre classes incorporate work on public speaking, drama, acting, singing, dance and movement and through a varied approach we aim to draw on the individual strengths and talents of each student.

The emphasis within a musical theatre class is placed on developing confidence and stage presence for performance via different mediums such as preparing monologues or poems, practicing audition technique, singing with a microphone, comedic improvisations, devising a group piece or working with scripts from plays and of course old and new West End musicals.

The class does demand that students will at times have to learn lyrics and lines and we ask that students keep and look after their own musical theatre file containing their scripts and class work.

Musical theatre students perform a section within the school's main showcase in addition to staging various in house performances focusing on differing aspects of their training throughout the year.
